"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.I was probably one of the luckiest little girls in the world. My grandfather owned a grocery store and we lived next door to it! Every day I would go over and visit him. He would sit me on his lap behind the counter, which conveniently was also where he displayed the candy, and we would talk. It was always at that time that he would ask me if I wanted a piece of candy. He would tell me to choose what I wanted, but he really didn't need to because I always chose Bit-O- Honey.
That sweet chewy morsel with the bits of almond was and still is my favorite. After I would tell him I chose Bit-O-Honey, I would always ask him if he wanted one too, and he would reply that he had all the honey he needed right on his lap. Believe me, memories like these are ones you cherish for the rest of your life. ~ Marjorie from Missouri
