"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was between 9 and 12 years old, my best friend would spend several weeks in the summer at her Grandparents in another state. Oh, I missed her so much. We lived in a very small town with a railroad track that we always played on. My friend and I LOVED Bubblicious bubble gum, so when she was gone, I would sit on the track alone and see how many pieces of Bubblicious I could chew at once. Sometimes, I would cry with three or four huge pieces of it in my mouth. The track and Bubblicious made me feel closer to her.
Thinking back, I laugh when I think what I must have looked like: a sweaty, teary-eyed, lonely little girl with chipmunk cheeks full of Bubblicious sitting on a railroad track in North Carolina. If this story is chosen, I will use the gift certificate to buy her and me some Bubblicious so we can chew and reminisce. ~ Pepper from North Carolina
