"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was a little girl, my mother, father and I would take a drive down to Newport and have dinner at this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant every once in a while. After we had finished eating I would beeline for the register and counter so I could eye my favorite sweet; the candy cigars! I still remember the faces I would make at my father, pleading for one. (I don't think there were many instances where he didn't cave.) He would ask the cashier for one -- "The pink one because you're a girl." -- and I would chew on it all the way home.
I haven't been able to find them since those days so I was thrilled when I stumbled onto your site and saw the familiar shade of pink. It makes me glad to know that they're still being manufactured. ~ Megan from California
