I was born in Sioux City, Iowa and moved about the age of 5, but returned to Sioux City, ever year to spend weeks during the summer with my aunt and uncle. My uncle owned a bait and marine shop that I worked in during the week and spent the weekends at the lake fishing and camping.

One of the first things we did when I came into town was go to Palmer Candy in Sioux City and load up on Black Jacks and then we'd have to go weekly to stock up for the weekend trip!! To this day, when we travel to Sioux City, Iowa.. a trip to Palmer Candy is on our list to get those Black Jacks!! ~ Kim from Kansas

Average Rating    Black Taffy   The "Black Jacks" as I still refer to this wonderful candy is delicious. The bag was very fresh and I have enjoyed every single bite. This is the first time I have bought this on-line, but it will certainly not be the last.   Reviewed by:  Bonnie from Columbus, OH. on 10/4/2011 Ms.   Because of the warm and melted "ice pack", the licorice taffy was melted and nearly impossible to unwrap.Very sticky and messy and hardly worth the price.
