"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.Growing up in central Illinois in the late 1970's and early 1980's, I remember frequent trips with my brothers to the community swimming pool.
Just outside the swimming pool, there was a small pavilion that contained several vending machines. I remember my older brother and me each buying a small package of Andy Capp's Hot Fries. My older brother would always challenge me to a "test of manhood." Whoever could eat the most Hot Fries without coughing, gasping, or clearing their throat was crowned the bigger, most "grown-up" man..... My brother usually won. ~ Jon from Illinois
