"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was a small child my best friend and I used to walk down about 2 miles along a beach to a little tiny store where the best thing was always inexpensive candy, and we always bought Abba Zebras and bubblegum cigarettes. Which we chewed while we sat on the beach before our long hike back.
One day on the car ride to my friends house her mother stopped there to pick up some unknown to me food. While we spent our 50 cents on Abba Zabas her older brother bought about 10 of them. We not being patient happily ate ours on the ride home. He of course saved them and stashed them in his room when we returned. While he was out doing chores, us like any other 7 year old children had to have more Abba Zaba.
So as stealthily as we could we crept in and stole one.We bolted and he saw through the window as we ran down the street we somehow decided it would be best to consume the delicious candy so he should not have it so we would there for win. Being our only option we ripped open the package, each grabbed an end and pulled. We must have been at least 5 feet apart before it split and the brother caught up and screamed at us. So now every time I have an Abba Zaba I can have that sweet taste of victory. ~ Anna from Washington
