Can I pay with a check or money order?
Yes, call us toll-free at 1-866-WAX-LIPS (1-866-929-5477). We are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm eastern time. Please leave a message if the line goes to voice mail. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Is all of your candy in-stock?
Yes, please call us during east coast business hours to place your order. The number is 1-866-929-5477. Leave a message if the line goes to voice mail. Coupon Codes will NOT be honored. Orders paid with a money order will ship the next business day after it is received. Orders paid with a check will be held until the check clears our bank which is about 2 weeks.
Do I have to pay any sales tax?
If a candy is out-of-stock you will see an indication on the product page and be given an opportunity to receive and email when it is back in-stock. Occasionally our inventory system will be out of sync with our website. When this happens you will receive an email notification and offered a chance to change or cancel your order.
How do I get a coupon code?
When shipping outside Ohio, the collection of sales taxes is not required. Inside Ohio (where we are located) sales tax is collected on non-candy items which include retro toys and Remember When booklets. Candy is not subject to sales tax in Ohio. Applicable sales taxes will appear in the shopping cart during checkout.
Can I use a coupon code if I call in by phone?

Will the candy make me feel young again?
All of our candy is fresh from the manufacturer. These candies have been in production for many years. We Baby Boomers have grown up, raised children (and now grandchildren), started and nurtured careers and are busy people. In the process we have forgotten about this part of our childhood. As we tell our granddaughter, "Candy makes my mouth happy!"

Where can I buy your candy in my city?
We do not make any of the candy. We buy it from over 70 different manufacturers.
Do you have a retail store?
The Old Time Candy Company is not the manufacturer of any of the products we sell. We are retailers who buy candy from over 70 different manufacturers and resell it on the web. We don't know where else it might be sold. In most cases the candy we sell is only available in certain regions of the country. The decision to sell regionally is made by the manufacturer.
What is the shelf-life of the candy? (Times are expressed in months from the date of manufacture, not from the date of purchase.) How should I store my candy?
We do not have a retail store. We sell only through our web site.
We recommend that you store candy at room temperatures (~70 degrees) and not in a freezer or refrigerator. Freezing chocolate will cause a white film to appear. If absolutely necessary chocolate can be stored in a refrigerator but it might absorb some of the odors from other foods.
